Naina! Vootle solltiya? Saavugraaki!

Every time I read this in Wikipedia, I enjoy to the core.
The article describes the famous 'Madras Bhashai'- a form of Tamil spoken only in Madras. When I first went to Chennai I used to think, "What kinda language these guys use? like the ones used is local street fights.. " But then 7 years later when I left chennai, even I became an expert in that language.

Now Bemani, Appu, Savagraki, Pannadai, Paradesi Naye, B**du, Gilli, Kalaaikkaradhu, Figura, Samma Kattai etc are all most used words in conversation with a Madras friend.

But most use these words without really knowing the exact meaning and origin of those. The article lists the origin also which are interesting to read.

However posh a guy may be, whatever car he drives, when someone dashes his vehicle or comes in the way while driving the first verbal action of the posh driver would be: " Naina! Vootle solltiya? Saavugraaki! " Thats Madras Bhashai. And thats Madras - unlike Bangalore where the Software Makkal fight in English on Airport Road...
